The relevance of the article lies in the fact that in today’s realities, the problem of collaborationism in Ukraine is becoming particularly relevant due to its direct impact on national security, the functioning of state institutions and social stability during the period of armed aggression. Collaborationism creates additional risks for effective governance in occupied and frontline territories, as it contributes to the formation of a favorable environment for the activities of an external enemy, facilitates access to information and resources and undermines the ability of the state to control its own space. Its consequences complicate the processes of de-occupation and post-war reintegration, as society finds itself faced with the need to simultaneously solve the tasks of restoration, legal assessment of cooperation with occupation structures and overcoming internal social faults. The article, based on the analysis of the scientific views of scientists, reveals the relationship between the concepts of collaborationism and collaborative activity, on the basis of which it is noted that the first category is broader and includes the second. The author’s definition of collaborative activity in Ukraine is proposed. The author’s vision of the features of collaborative activity in conditions of full-scale military aggression is formulated. It is proved that collaboration is a deliberate, motivated and systematic interaction of individuals and/or legal entities with occupation structures (including troops), which manifests itself in the forms of support, assistance or legitimization of external power presence and is aimed at weakening the sovereignty, defense capability and institutional stability of the State. It is noted that these activities not only provide the enemy with access to resources, information or governance mechanisms, but also transform the social environment, reducing the potential of communities to collective resistance, undermining public trust and complicating the processes of de-occupation and further reintegration. It is emphasized that in a broad sense, collaborative activity is a form of manifestation of the internal “erosion” of statehood, in which people or groups of people, instead of protecting their own society, state sovereignty and territorial integrity, become a channel of influence for an external force and a tool for implementing its military or political goals.
