Abstract

The article reveals the key general theoretical aspects of the methodology of research into female crime. It is noted that the research into female crime in Ukraine is aimed at identifying factors contributing to female crime, analyzing the profile of female criminals and the characteristics of their behavior, typifying criminal offenses committed by women, determining the dynamics of crime and its social consequences, generalizing judicial practice and the practice of criminal liability, developing programs for crime prevention, rehabilitation and reintegration of women who have committed criminal offenses, identifying gender aspects of criminal law, etc. It is emphasized that the methodology of research into female crime includes such stages as: preparation, data collection, analysis of scientific, theoretical and applied research in this area, identifying trends and patterns, developing recommendations for the prevention and control of female crime. It has been determined that the methodology for studying female crime, as an interdisciplinary institute, consists of scientific principles of cognition (classical and non-classical principles), methodological approaches (hermeneutic, systemic, functional, institutional and synergistic) and methods of scientific research (general scientific, special scientific methods in the field of law, empirical methods). It is noted that the study of female crime also involves the use of an interdisciplinary approach and the possible use of psychological, sociological, anthropological, information-analytical, etc. methods. It is summarized that the methodology plays a key role in the study of female crime, as it ensures the scientific validity of the conclusions and the effectiveness of the developed recommendations, which is achieved through the systematic analysis of female crime as a complex socio-legal phenomenon, the objectivity of the research results, the identification of patterns, the use of an interdisciplinary approach and the practical orientation of the research, which ultimately contributes to the development of effective measures for the prevention, deterrence and rehabilitation of female criminals.
