Abstract

The article examines the issues of implementing the provisions of climate agreements into the national legislation of states at the current stage. The climate crisis has affected every direction of the globe and at the current stage, a real threat to life as a whole has appeared. To date, we have witnessed the negative consequences of global warming and have the opportunity to observe an extremely tense situation almost on our planet, and not in a separate region or a specific state. Currently, there is a question of proper international legal regulation in areas that include international cooperation of states in improving the climate on the planet, safe business activities and implementation of provisions in national legislation. Compliance with generally accepted provisions of international agreements in the field of environmental protection and quality implementation in practice is the duty of every civilized state. However, the process of implementation into national legislation is possible only under the conditions of strict fulfillment of all obligations undertaken by the state. The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change of 1992 became a fundamental international legal document. This became a new stage of enhanced cooperation of states with the aim of preserving the planet and the population. The article analyzes the results of climate summits, at which agreements were signed on the need to use carbon in business activities to prevent the destruction of the ozone layer, and a number of climate agreements that have a huge impact on the international cooperation of states. The conducted analysis gives reason to point out numerous shortcomings and lack of refinement in existing international acts and the need for immediate revision of their provisions for the future of all mankind. All current climate agreements must undergo a mandatory revision based on today’s realities.
